EUCCS Preparation represented one of the most attended sections of the 2024 Winter edition of the PSCE Confernece which took place on 4th and 5th December in Brussels. The Conference was marked by a high expectation for the official presentation of the EUCCS Preparation winning contractors, now testbed implementors: Airbus, Frequentis, Leonardo and Teltronic.
The second half of Day II was entirely dedicated to EUCCS Preparation. The session opened with a presentation from Alice Mezzetto, assistant to Max Brandt (DG HOME, European Commission) who presented on the political context within which the programme operated. This was then followed by a presentation from EUCCS Preparation coordinator David Lund, presenting on the the expected activities for the year 2025-2026. The most awaited presentation, the official presentation of the four winning contractors provided an opportunity for the winners to take the stage and share with the 100 participants their motivations in joining the EUCCS Preparation family and their expectations for the months to come.
The session was closed with an intervention from the Bavarian Red Cross presenting on the operational aspect of the EUCCS Preparation.
A symbolic picture was taken at the very end gathering EUCCS Preparation coordinators, buyers, suppliers and operational team proudly wearing the EUCCS logo. An event to remember marking the start of a new step for this programme.
