EUCCS Preparation had a strong presence at the 2025 Critical Communication World with a pod space at the Partners’ Village, the intervention of DG HOME in the keynote speeches at the start of the event introducing the political drive towards the realisation of a European Critical Communication System (EUCCS) as well commercial stands from each of the four winning contractors that are currently working together and contributing to the activities of the EUCCS Preparation project. The collaboration of EUCCS Prep with the contractors is key as it will enhance the technical maturity of the envisaged mission-critical services, thereby increasing trust in the technical and operational feasibility of the future EUCCS.
Last but not least, during CCW, the programme expert Sanja Holen also intervened with a presentation at the Focus Forums corner. Reminding how the Porgramme is contributing towards the Commission’s strategy in the framework of the Protect EU initiative, Sanja shared the 10-year journey of EUCCS Preparation: from BroadMap to the EU 2030 focused on implementing EUCCS in the EU Member States and the Schengen area, in order to allow citizens to feel safe and be secure. Finally, Sanja presented EUCCS Preparation’s current milestone which is aiming to connect vendors’ platforms, emphasizing our commitment to making operational broadband MCX tools for first responders across the continent.
